fullPip HAndling card

For many years gundog handlers have been using handling aids when working their dogs at a distance, traditionally this has been a white hanky, hat, or a white card.

The brand new and exclusive Fullpip Handling Card taps into the science behind canine colour vision. Dogs see colour in a totally different way to the human eye and the pre-dominant colour that dogs can see is blue.

Imagine using a white handling card against a white or grey skyline, the aid will be lost against the background, the blue Fullpip Handling Card overcomes this problem. An added benefit is that as it is a darker hue it will create “contrast” against the background and as dog’s vision is also tuned into “contrast and movement” this will be far more visible to the dog at a distance.

Another factor to bear in mind is that blue is a colour that is rarely worn in the shooting field and therefore the Fullpip Handling Card would be the standout colour to a dog when looking for it’s handler and taking directions.

The Fullpip Handling card has been developed with input from field trial handlers and has been reviewed and assessed by an RVC eye consultant.
